In the Kelvin timeline, the USS Nautilus was a 23rd century Federation starship in Starfleet service in the 2250s decade.
Service history[]
In 2256, the Nautilus was docked at Earth's McKinley Station. Cadet Pavel Chekov was assigned as a relief navigator and had boarded a shuttle to take him to the ship. Before it launched, he received an emergency call and ran off to aid his fellow cadet James T. Kirk. Chekov ended up beaming Kirk, Leonard McCoy and Nyota Uhura from Starfleet Academy to the Argos telescope through a chain of 11 transporter pads, and was unable to board the Nautilus.
