The USS New Berlin (NCC-80523) was a 24th century Federation starship, a Parliament-class engineering vessel in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade.
- The vessel was probably named for New Berlin, a settlement on Luna.
Service history[]
The New Berlin was commissioned in 2380 with secondary warp reactors, shuttlebays, advanced sensor arrays, and improved hull integrity. Like other ships of its class, she was outfitted with quantum torpedoes, a phaser array, and tractor beam.
In 2385, the New Berlin was under the command of Captain Matilda Aware. In that year, the New Berlin was aiding the Gorn Confederation by surveying the Oort cloud of the system containing its colony planet Gr'ish'ap. While there, the Gorn nest ship Naxil'ish experienced a warp core malfunction that sent it out of control towards the planet at close to light speed. New Berlin rendezvoused, matched velocity, and fashioned a type of subspace anchor to slow the nest ship into a safe orbit. (Adventures RPG module: Lower Decks Campaign Guide)
