The USS Nimrod was a Federation starship. She was a Daedalus-class explorer in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century.
Service history[]
In 2270, the Nimrod arrived at the Romulan Neutral Zone following a Starfleet Intelligence mission to recover the USS Confederate from the Romulan Atnox Depot. Nimrod picked up Commodore Foley and the intelligence team from the USS Enterprise after the Confederate became lost in a temporal rift. (TOS - Unlimited comic: "None But the Brave")
In 2276, the Nimrod was one of six Starfleet vessels that joined a task force in a battle with Romulans. She rendezvoused with the Enterprise, USS Hemalat, USS Lake Champlain, USS Ortisei and USS Sempach at RV Trianguli. After the battle, Nimrod's communications were damaged, but she was otherwise fully operational. (TOS - Rihannsu novel: Honor Blade)
