The USS Nowlan was an Antares-class transport in service to Starfleet in the mid 23rd century.
Service history[]
In late 2266, the Nowlan, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Brandon Easton, was assigned to transport Diego Reyes from Vanguard to Earth, following the former commodore's conviction by a court martial.
Five weeks into this trip, on 3 January 2267, the Nowlan was attacked by an unidentified pirate vessel hired by Klingon Captain Kutal, at the behest of Councillor Gorkon. Reyes was abducted and taken prisoner, while the entire crew was killed and the Nowlan destroyed. The ship's disaster recorder buoy was recovered shortly thereafter by the USS Gloucester. - The Nowlan may be named for Phillip Francis NowlanWP, the author who created the character Buck Rogers.
