The USS Oakland[2] (NCC-75012)[4] was 24th century Federation starship, a California-class support ship[1] in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Amina Ramsey. (LD episode: "The Stars at Night")
Service history and disposition[]

The Oakland was one of several California class vessels in operation in the 2380s decade, and was named for the city of Oakland in California on Earth. Its hull had red command division markings. (LD episode: "The Stars at Night")
The Human Amina Ramsey held the rank of captain and the position of CO of the USS Oakland by the year 2380. On stardate 57752.6, Ramsey and three of her officers - Lieutenants Drew Prachett, Durga and Otessa Warren - transferred temporarily to the USS Cerritos while Captain Carol Freeman and her senior staff embarked on a classified mission. This allowed Ramsey to work with her old friend Beckett Mariner, who was still an ensign. Under Ramsay's command, the Cerritos visited the Khwopians on Khwopa. Pooling their skills, Ramsay's team and the Cerritos crew rescued Captain Dayton and the personnel of the Cali-class USS Rubidoux from aliens. (LD episode: "Much Ado About Boimler")
Durga and Ramsey were among the Oakland personnel who became trapped in a holodeck program run by the malicious artificial intelligence Badgey aboard the Cerritos in 2380. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive)

On stardate 58499.2 in 2381, the Oakland was one of several California-class starships summoned by ex-Starfleet officer Mariner of the Independent Archaeologists Guild vessel Free Spirit to aid the Cerritos in battle against the rogue AI-operated Texas-class starships Aledo, Dallas and Corpus Christi, after the latter had sacked Douglas Station and disabled the USS Van Citters. The Oakland was the first Cali-class ship to arrive at the scene, followed moments later by the USS Alhambra and the rest of the existing Cali-class armada. The combined fleet engaged the surviving Aledo and destroyed the rogue vessel. After the destruction of the Texas class, Ramsey was among those joining the Cerritos in a celebratory conference call over viewscreen. Afterwards, the fleet then returned to Douglas Station for repairs. (LD episode: "The Stars at Night")
