Apocrypha[]
The fan fiction Ships of the Star Fleet lists a USS Oberon NCC-1880 as an Avenger-class heavy frigate, having been refitted to Avenger-class specifications on Stardate 7533.5 from an earlier Surya-class frigate. The Avenger class is an early fan designation for the Miranda class. The Surya class is a Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS) era version of the Miranda-class, but with a shorter extended hull and no rollbar.
