The USS Obsidian (NCC-1805-B) was a Federation starship, a Miranda-class frigate/light cruiser in Starfleet service in the 24th and the 25th centuries. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Suspect")

History[]

Jay Yim served on the Obsidian when the Khitomer Accords were abgrogated by the Klingons again in 2399. At that time, Captain Sewell organized shuttle races and a velocity tournament to keep morale up. (STO - Season 8.5 mission: "Tour the Galaxy")

Then-ensign Jirelle Kav served her first tour of duty aboard the Obsidian. (STO mission: "First Contact Day")

In 2409 the Obsidian was seemingly attacked by True Way vessels in the SPR-5195 system. A Starfleet ship repelled the attack, then beamed an away team aboard to hunt a reported shapeshifter. This proved to be a test by Agent Franklin Drake of Section 31. The suspected Changeling turned out to be the Anjan Carna character in the program. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Suspect")
