The U.S.S. Odyssey (NX-97000) was the prototype for the Odyssey-class Federation starship, launched in 2409.
History
The Odyssey was launched amidst great fanfare from Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on Mars, and underwent a shakedown cruise in Mars orbit. The shakedown was briefly interrupted by a Klingon fleet, led by their own new starship, the prototype for the Bortas-class. (STO mission: "The Odyssey Class")
