The USS Palatine (NCC-92901) was a 25th century Federation starship, the prototype of the Palatine-class multi-mission explorer in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. (STO - Reckoning mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
- Like some other Vesta-class, the Palatine may be named for a hill of Rome, Palatine HillWP.
Service history and disposition[]
In the year 2410, the USS Palatine was configured as a tactical division vessel and based on the Aventine-class reconnaissance multi-mission explorer, itself a subclass of the 2380s-era Vesta-class starships. The Palatine was also specialized in reconnaissance, and equipped with a radiation bombardment matrix launcher. From a frontal firing arc, the Palatine bathed enemy vessels in harmful radiation. From the year 2410 onward, the Palatine represented its class in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Khitomer Alliance flag officer in, or aligned with, Starfleet, deployed Palatine for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", admiralty system)
