The USS Pasteur (NCC-10003) was a 24th century Federation starship, a M'Benga-class rescue/hospital ship. The Pasteur was named, like the other ships of it's class, for Human doctors and medical scientists of history. This vessel was named for Louis Pasteur.

This vessel entered Starfleet service on reference stardate 2/8303, and remained in active service until at least the 2360s decade. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)

This hospital ship was named after a previous vessel, the 23rd century USS Pasteur. The name continued on when the Nebula-class USS Pasteur, was given the name. The name continued in the 2370s with a later vessel—a fellow hospital ship—Olympic-class USS Pasteur. (TOS - Year Four comic: "Issue 6"; ST video game: Armada II; TNG episode, novelization & comic adaptation: All Good Things...)
