The USS Raleigh was a 23rd[4] and 24th century[5] Federation starship, a Miranda-class[6] frigate in Starfleet service by the 2290s[7] and to the 2360s and 2370s decades. (TOS - Strange New Worlds II short story: "The First Law of Metaphysics", TOS video game: Bridge Crew)
History[]
In 2293, Starfleet Academy instructor Captain Spock and Cadet Dustan Walters traveled from Earth to Vulcan aboard the Raleigh. (TOS - Strange New Worlds II short story: "The First Law of Metaphysics")
- The evidence within the story would seem to suggest that the Raleigh was a cadet training ship, though this is never explicitly stated.
After renewed contact with the Romulan Star Empire in the year 2364[8] and during the service period of the USS Enterprise-D (2363-2371), the Raleigh was one of the ships assigned to the expeditionary fleet patrolling the Trench against Romulan incursion. During skirmishes, the Raleigh teamed up with the Enterprise and engaged Romulan warbirds and smaller ships. (TOS video game: Bridge Crew, The Next Generation DLC)
