The USS Rapier was a Federation starship, an Akira-class cruiser in Starfleet service in the 24th century. The Rapier saw action against the Borg Collective and Species 8472 in the late 2370s decade. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)

History[]

On stardate 54771.6, in the year 2377, the Rapier was part of the joint Federation-Borg armada crossing through Rift Alpha into fluidic space to destroy the Rift Maker to end the Species 8472 incursions into the Alpha and Delta Quadrants. When the Rift Maker was destroyed, the Borg Queen and Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-E ordered the armada to return through Rift Alpha. Along with the rest of the armada, the Rapier returned safely to the Hurik system, where the Federation-Borg alliance was called off by Picard, and the Borg were escorted back to the Borg transwarp portal. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Rifts")
