The USS Rapier (NCC-94004) was a Federation Rapier-class starship in service during the 25th century. It was the first ship of its class.

History[]

In 2403, the Rapier was on its first mission to survey several planets in the Gamma Quadrant through the Bajoran wormhole, shortly after its commissioning.

Starfleet believed the ship had been destroyed, but in 2409, picked up an emergency distress signal on a frequency that corresponded with the Rapier. Starfleet and the Romulan Republic sent a ship to investigate.

The vessel had been found by a group in the Dominion led by the Vorta Eraun. Eraun hoped to repair the vessel and fly it to the Gamma Quadrant. Before that could happen, it was recovered by the ship sent by Starfleet and the surviving crew members saved. Upon being escorted back to the Alpha Quadrant, the ship docked at Deep Space 9, where the crew was temporarily put into one of the cargo bays for medical attention. (STO mission: "Rapier")
