The USS Runabout (NCC-72004) was a Federation starship, Danube-class runabout in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. The craft was miniaturized and about 3 meters long. (STO - Victory Is Life mission: "Storm Clouds Gather")

In 2409, the USS Runabout's mirror universe counterpart was the ISS Runabout. (STO - Cardassian Struggle missions: "Defend the Beta Ursae Sector Block", "Crack in the Mirror")
During the accession of the Dominion to the Alpha Quadrant Alliance and the Hur'q Invasion of the Gamma Quadrant, the Gamma Task Force rewarded participating commanding officers reaching the 5th tier in the task force reputation with a summon-able, miniaturized Danube-class runabout. This included the USS Runabout. (STO - Victory Is Life mission: "Storm Clouds Gather")
