The USS Sagan (NCC-20000) was a Federation Oberth-class class V science research vessel starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century.
Service history and disposition[]
The Sagan was the prototype of the Sagan-subclass design and was built around reference stardate 2/8502. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)
By the 2370s decade, the Sagan had either been decommissioned or lost during active service and was succeeded in name by the Intrepid-class cruiser, USS Sagan. (SA comics: "Renegades", "The Fall")
