The USS Saladin (NCC-74350) was a Federation Defiant-class escort starship in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In the mid-2370s, the Saladin was under the command of Captain Shinoda.
In 2375, the Saladin was part of a Starfleet/Klingon patrol which engaged a Jem'Hadar task force. During the battle, Shinoda was killed and first officer, Commander Julia Rivera assumed command. The Saladin ultimately survived the battle but suffered significant damage, which was later repaired when the ship put in at the Bakrii shipyard.
