The USS Sentinel was a Federation starship, a Miranda-class cruiser in Starfleet service.
Service history and disposition[]
Sentinel was launched in the 23rd century.
This ship was active on the Klingon Empire's border in the year 2288, and engaged two Klingon birds-of-prey when they violated the Federation border. The Sentinel stood her ground and chased them off, but the Federation Council later apologized to the Klingons for the Sentinel's actions. (SA video game: Starfleet Academy)
- This ship was seen in-game on a "news broadcast" to the cadets at Starfleet Academy. No name or registry number was seen on her hull, but the voice-over for the report indicated she was named Sentinel.
Modified with an upper mission pod, Sentinel continued in service in the mid-to-late 24th century. (ST video game: Infinite)
- The Star Trek Infinite game software has each campaign having a certain chance of spawning a Miranda ship named "Sentinel" from a list of preselected names. Through this application of video game logic, it is also possible that this name would be assigned to a number of other types of vessels.
