The USS Serpentine was a Federation starship, a Venture-class scout in Starfleet service in the 24th century. This ship was in active service around the 2370s decade. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)
History[]
On Stardate 53551.3 (July 20, 2376), the USS Enterprise-E found the USS Serpentine adrift near Starbase 612 following a surprise attack by the Borg Collective. Captain Jean-Luc Picard had away teams transport to the Serpentine and the rest of the derelict fleet. The Serpentine returned to duty in time to ward off further Borg attacks and destroy their base in the sector. (TNG video game: Armada mission: Dark Omens)
Later that month, the Serpentine participated in a Starfleet operation in the Tau Dewa sector block, surveying Eridon Prime, nebulae and a black hole. When Locutus led a Borg incursion into the sector in search for a secret Romulan starbase, the Borg attacked ships and outposts of various species to gain resources, including Starfleet. (TNG video game: Armada mission: Assimilation)
USS Serpentine was still in active service in 2377. (TNG video game: Armada II)
- No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel in the Armada series as its name was selected for a scout by the game developers, and is placed randomly each time the ship appears.
