The USS Shenzhou (NCC-91220) was a 25th century Federation starship, the prototype of the Shenzhou-class light battlecruiser in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. (STO website: House Shattered: The Legendary Discovery Captain Bundle)
Service history and disposition[]
Following the Shattering of the Klingon Empire during the Klingon Civil War of 2411, joint Khitomer Alliance starship development programs with the Klingon Defense Force were halted or canceled. Starfleet refocused on the Yard 39 project to revive starships of the 2250s decade.
The first new ship of this project was the Shenzhou, named after Captain Philippa Georgiou's notorious ship of the same name. The Shenzhou entered service in the year 2411. Its design was an evolution of the Walker- and Georgiou-class light exploration cruisers. (STO website: House Shattered: The Legendary Walker Light Battlecruiser)
From the year 2411 onward, the Shenzhou represented its class in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Khitomer Alliance flag officer in, or aligned with, Starfleet, deployed Shenzhou for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", admiralty system)
