The ShiKahr entered service in the mid-24th century, around the same time as the Cheyenne-, Galaxy- and Nebula-classses. The USS ShiKahr remained in service into the 25th century. From 2411 onwards, the ShiKahr represented its class on the shipyards interfaces operated by New Romulus Shipyards, Klingon Defense Force Order of Builders and Starfleet Shipyards Operations at Khitomer Alliance facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy, replacing the USS ShiKahr (NCC-91846).
