The USS Spector (NCC-63898) was an Akira-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century.
- There is confusion over the registry of the Spector with at least three sources giving different registries: ILM, NCC-63549; Fact Files, NCC-65549; and Starships, NCC-63015. In the case of ILM, this registry was given to the USS Thunderchild. The Thunderchild itself had a registry of NCC-63898. As production sources have greater weight, the registry of the Spector is NCC-63898. The chart from ILM can be seen here.
Service history[]
In 2374, the Spector was one of three starships that were assigned to recapture the USS Prometheus after it fell into the hands of the Tal Shiar. (VOY episode: "Message in a Bottle"; ST reference: Star Trek Fact Files; Decipher RPG modules: Starfleet Operations Manual, Starships)
