Service history and disposition[]
In the 23rd century, a Bader-class ship named USS Tombaugh (NCC-6886) operated as research vessel and scout. The Bader class remained active into the 2360s. (FASA RPG module: Federation Starship Recognition Manual)
Seven of Nine in 2375.
In the 2360s, Captain Blackwood served as the commanding officer of the current Tombaugh. In the year 2362, Ensign Stone was assigned to the Tombaugh straight out of Starfleet Academy. During his first week of active duty, the Borg Collective attacked the Tombaugh. The Borg assimilated the ship and its crew, including Stone.
In 2375, xB Seven of Nine experienced memories and personalities of Borg drones, including Stone's pre-assimilation persona, after she encountered an infected vinculum. (VOY episode: "Infinite Regress")
