USS Trantis

The USS Trantis (NCC-2703) was a Federation Loknar-class (mark I subclass) class VII frigate starship in the 23rd century, entering Starfleet service on reference stardate 1/9104. The Trantis was refit to the specification of a mark II subclass class VIII vessel on stardate 1/9810. Trantis was recorded as decommissioned on stardate 2/1502. Since this is a class of ships named for Federation settlements, the creator's intention seems to be that "Trantis" is a location that the vessel is named for.
