The USS Tromsø was active in the 2370s and participated in the Dominion War.
Around stardate 51246.9, in 2374, the Tromsø was one of ten Norway-class escorts assigned to six Nebula-class starships to protect the sector containing the Setlik star system from the combined forces of the Dominion and the Cardassian Union.
Starfleet Intelligence had gathered that a small Cardassian garrison might be assigned to Setlik III and IV. The Intelligence report turned out to be incorrect. Instead, two large Cardassian ship garrisons and six Jem'Hadar strike ships attacked the task force.
The sensors of the Nebula-class USS Lexington detected the Tromsø, USS T'Kumbra and USS Trondheim attempting to cut a wedge between the Cardassian ships. The Federation won the battle and retained control over the Setlik system. (SCE eBook: War Stories, Book 1)
