The USS Ulysses was a 24th century Federation starship, a Galaxy-class battleship in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade. (ST video game: Armada)
Service history[]

The USS Ulysses and USS Odyssey in 2376.

The Ulysses and Odyssey in 2377.
The Ulysses was part of the Federation defenses against the Borg Invasion of 2376. In that year, the Borg Collective had cloned Locutus and sought to capture an Omega molecule and use its power to assimilate the Federation. Because of the intervention of the timeship USS Premonition, the USS Ulysses and its Galaxy-class sister ship USS Odyssey assembled outside Starfleet HQ in Earth orbit when Locutus's cube and the Borg fleet invaded the Sol star system. (ST video game: Armada mission: "The Twilight Hour")
The Premonition created another time portal to ensure a diplomatic mission of the Odyssey to Romulus was a success, enabling an alliance with the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire. Together with the allied cavalry, the Sol defense fleet that the Ulysses and Odyssey were part of repelled the Borg from the system. (ST video game: Armada mission: "A Line in the Sand")
In 2377, the Ulysses and its Galaxy-class ships saw action in the Borg Invasion of 2377. (ST video game: Armada II)
During an all-out assault on the Borg in the Bora system, the Ulysses was part of Captain Jean-Luc Picard's fleet traveling from the Suah'Dron system to the Delta Quadrant through a captured Borg transwarp portal. Arriving in the Delta Quadrant, Picard's fleet immediately engaged in battle with a Borg nexus and its defending Borg cubes. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Inferno")
In 2379, this vessel and its sister ships were part of Lieutenant Commander Carey's training scenario conducted at Starfleet Academy. (ST video game: Armada II: "Tutorial" missions)
- No history or fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for an explorer by the game software.
Alternate timelines[]
Borg Invasion of 2376[]

In an alternate timeline where the Premonition-class prototype timeship originated from, nearly all of the Federation fell to the Borg during their invasion of 2376. (ST video game: Armada mission: "Premonitions")
Despite the early warning provided by the Premonition, the Borg fleet commanded by Locutus still defeated Starfleet, destroying and/or assimilating all Starfleet installations and ships at Earth, including the Ulysses. Three days after the battle, Earth was a fully assimilated planet and no Starfleet material remained. (ST video game: Armada mission: "The Twilight Hour")
That prompted the Premonition to send Picard and the USS Enterprise-E into the past and save the diplomatic convoy led by Ambassador Spock and the USS Odyssey, leading to the timeline where the Federation was victorious. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "There and Back Again")
First Splinter timeline[]
In 2381 of the First Splinter timeline[3], the Ulysses was part of a task force defending Starbase 24 during the Borg Invasion of 2381. In February, the Ulysses, along with the USS Merrimack and USS Sparta, were attacked by a previously undetected Borg cube that had slipped through perimeter defenses. The cube destroyed all three vessels and the starbase. (ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night)
- It is possible that the above incident occurred to the previous USS Ulysses, if this vessel had not been replaced in the First Splinter timeline.
