The USS Ushaan (NX-3771) was a 23rd century Federation starship, a tier 2-rated Ushaan-class escort prototype and Saber-class variant in Starfleet service in the TMP era and 2410s decade. (STO - Unveiled mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Service history and disposition[]

The USS Ushaan was a 23rd century Starfleet design and a precursor of the 24th century Saber-class escort. The Ushaan carried the NX registry number prefix denoting an experimental vessel or prototype. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

The technology and design language of the ship's appearance signified affiliation with Starfleet's Total Modification Programme, introduced in the 2270s. (STO website: Unveiled: The 15th Anniversary Starship Bundle)

The ship was subsequently involved in numerous armed conflicts involving the Federation an its Khitomer Alliance partners. (STO video games: Legacy of Romulus, The Iconian War, Agents of Yesterday)

From 2411, the Ushaan represented its class on the shipyards interfaces operated by New Romulus Shipyards, Klingon Defense Force Order of Builders, Dominion Vanguard Fleet and Starfleet Shipyards Operations at Khitomer Alliance facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. Around the time of the Aetherian capture of Borg Cooperative Director Hugh^[3], the class had previously been represented by the USS Ushaan (NX-93771). (STO - Unveiled missions: "Explore the Flotilla", "The Hunt is On", "Ceremony", "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
