The USS Valiant (TRX-1701) was a Federation starship, a Constitution-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century. The ship was a contemporary of the Constitution-class USS Valiant (NCC-1709). (ST video game: Trexels, PRM novel: Fire with Fire)

History[]

USS Valiant bridge

Bridge of the Valiant.

During a detailed scan of an unexplored star system, the Valiant came under attack from a massive Krill starship, which destroyed the Federation ship with all hands. On stardate 7###.8 (circa 2270), the USS Trexelprise was assigned to the region, despite still being under construction, to determine the Valiant's fate and to continue its mission of exploration. (ST video game: Trexels intro)

Starfleet considered the Valiant lost, presumed destroyed. The Trexelprise began its investigation of the Valiant's whereabouts at the moon of the gas giant Landau VII, as the Landau system was that ship's last known location. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Ancient Echoes")
