The USS Vancouver (NCC-70492[1] ) was a 24th century Federation starship, a Parliament-class[1] engineering vessel in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. (LD episode: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")

Service history[]

Vancouver and Cerritos

The USS Vancouver and USS Cerritos at Mixtus III.

Vancouver was a Human city on Earth. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)

The Vancouver and its crew specialized in large, complex engineering projects. It's shuttlebay was adorned with a red Starfleet arrowhead.

In the year 2380, the Vancouver and the California-class starship USS Cerritos joined forces to assist the population of Mixtus III, which was being threatened by one of the planet's moons. To protect the civilization of a husband and wife, Captain Carol Freeman of the Cerritos ordered the two vessels to implode the moon.

While Ensigns D'Vana Tendi and Samanthan Rutherford worked aboard the Vancouver during this mission, they recovered hardware that they kept upon returning to the Cerritos. (LD episode: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")

In 2381, the Vancouver was due to oversee trade talks with the Karemma at Deep Space 9 before it was reassigned by Admiral Les Buenamigo to respond to a dubiously existent brown hole. In its place, the USS Cerritos was drafted in, Buenamigo hoping the unprepared crew would fail and give him a reason to decommission the California-class. (LD episodes: "Hear All, Trust Nothing", "The Stars at Night")

Later that year, the Vancouver was briefly overtaken by Badgey when he took over the Federation's subspace network. (LD episode: "A Few Badgeys More")

When ex-Starfleet personnel were being targeted by the Nova One, the Vancouver was tasked to retrieve Beverly Crusher and escort her to safety. (LD episode: "The Inner Fight")
