USS Vega (Excelsior class)

The USS Vega was a 24th century Federation starship, an Excelsior-class cruiser in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade.

Service history and disposition[]

Vega was modified for service as a fleet cruiser, in active service around the year 2378. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)

No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a battlecruiser by the SFC3 games software, and is placed randomly each time the ship appears.

The Vega inherited its name from an earlier Starfleet vessel, a Federation repair ship USS Vega in service until around 2377. (ST video game: Armada II)
