The USS Vesper (NCC-10109) was a Federation starship, a Vesper-class tier 2 cruiser and the prototype of its class in Starfleet service in from the mid-24th century to the 2400s and 2410s decades. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Service history and disposition[]

Excalibur class

The USS Excalibur (NCC-94547) in the 2390s.

The Vesper was a modern variant of the venerable Constitution-class and its Enterprise-subclass refit. It was a sister design to the 2390s[2] USS Excalibur (NCC-94547), itself an evolution of the 23rd century Constitution class. The Vesper incorporated design cues of the larger Excalibur-class starship. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Vesper was active during the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410. In the year 2409, the Vesper was one of several tier-2 starships assigned to Deep Space Station K-7. The Vesper patrolled the space around the K class space station and around the orbit of Sherman's Planet within the Sherman star system. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Neutral Zone Diplomacy")

From the year 2410 onward, the Vesper represented its class in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Vesper-10109

Vesper in 2411.

Khitomer Alliance flag officer in, or aligned with, Starfleet, deployed Vesper for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", admiralty system)

Legendary miracle worker light cruiser classes

Legendary starships of the Constitution-class line.

Following the Battle of Excalbia on stardate 84999.22[3] in early 2411, which saw the prominent involvement of hero ships from the Federation's past and present, the Vesper was among the cruisers that received a refit to legendary starship qualifications. (STO - Legacy missions: "Measure of Morality (Part 2)", "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

The Vesper was upgraded to a tier 6 legendary miracle worker light cruiser. (STO website: Legacy : Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser)
