The USS Voyager (NCC-74656-B) was a 25th century Federation starship, a Pathfinder-class long range science vessel[2] in Starfleet service in the 2400s decade. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")

Service history and disposition[]

Active service[]

In the 2400s, USS Voyager-B was about to be launched as part of a series of events, coinciding with the decomissioning of the USS Enterprise-F and the unveiling of a statue to honor the 24th century Captain Rachel Garrett.

When Starfleet Intelligence officer Commander Raffaela Musiker investigated as planned act of terrorism on M'Talas Prime, she called up upcoming events on the viewscreen of her ship, La Sirena. The ship's computer displayed an image of Voyager-B from the launch event. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")

The Pathfinder-class was designed specifically as a long range science vessel capable of traversing the galaxy. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Namesakes and legacy[]

Homecoming of the Voyager in 2377.

The Voyager-B was one of a number of vessels to bear this name and registry.

In the 2370s, the 24th century USS Voyager, registered NCC-74656, completed a historic, unscheduled trek from the Delta Quadrant back to Earth under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway. (VOY episode: "Endgame")

Voyager was placed in a museum. Starfleet Academy's display of historic starships included an information sign about USS Voyager. (PIC episode: "The Star Gazer")

In the 2380s, the NCC registry number was carried over by the USS Voyager-A. Shuttlecraft attached to this registry were active by stardate 61302.7[3] in the year 2384. (PRD episode: "Supernova")

Voyager-J in 3189.

By the 31st century, the name was carried by the Janeway-class[4] science vessel[4] USS Voyager (NCC-74656-J). Voyager-J survived the Burn, an event of galactic devastation, and continued in Starfleet service in 3189. (DSC episode: "Die Trying")

In 3190, that Voyager was being fitted with the experimental pathway drive. (DSC episode: "Kobayashi Maru")
