The USS Voyager (NCC-74656), also known was Warship Voyager, was a Federation starship, an Intrepid-class warship prototype in Starfleet service from the 2410s decade. (STO website: Legendary Miracle Worker Multi-Mission Science Vessel)

Service history[]

Inspiration[]

In 2374, the Intrepid-class science vessel USS Voyager visited the shared homeworld of the Kyrians and Vaskans on its journey to Earth and became briefly involved in their civil conflict. Centuries later, the distorted view on history perpetuated by the Kyrians and Vaskans portrayed Voyager as a ruthless warship that had interfered in, and exacerbated, the planetary war. The Museum of Kyrian Heritage included a holographic recreation of this Warship Voyager and its crew. (VOY episode: "Living Witness")

While centuries would pass without renewed contact between the Federation and the conflict-stricken aliens, Starfleet dispatched the Project Full Circle fleet, led by Voyager, in 2381 to return to the Delta Quadrant. (VOY novel: Unworthy)

Starfleet, and their Khitomer Alliance partners, arrived en masse in the quadrant in the year leading up to the Iconian War, in 2410. The Alliance established a permanent presence in sectors traversed by Voyager in the 2370s. (STO episodes: "Mindscape", "Alliances")

Construction and launch[]

Shipyard interface.

At the end of 2410, Starfleet began a new shipbuilding project that focused on refitting classes represented by legendary starships throughout Federation history. While Admiral Tuvok's USS Voyager was upgraded to the specifications of the so-called legendary miracle worker multi-mission science vessel - a combination of miracle worker ship and multi-mission explorer - a new Warship Voyager was designed to realize the erroneous vision of the Kyrians and Vaskans. Warship Voyager shared its registry number and capabilities with its namesake but was equipped with additional weapon hardpoints throughout its dorsal hull. (STO website: Legendary Miracle Worker Multi-Mission Science Vessel)

In Earth Spacedock's shipyard interface, and interfaces of other aligned and Federation shipyards, a rotatable graphic of Warship Voyager was used to represent the Warship-class. (STO - Legacy mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Alternate versions[]

During the temporal anomaly crisis.

In one permutation of reality, Warship Voyager was active in the 2370s and visited Earth. (The Official Starships Collection Issue 132: "Warship Voyager")

In the Kyrian simulation, as experienced by a version of the Doctor in the 30th century, Warship Voyager was heavily armed and operated by an unethical crew. The ship's chief medical officer was the Emergency Medical Android. The EMA modified the phaser arrays to carry a biogenic weapon into a planet's atmosphere. The vessel had a crew of 300, including shock troops and a Borg assault team, and could field fighter-shuttles. Warship Voyager originated from Mars. (VOY episode: "Living Witness")

Individual holograms from the Kyrian simulation made their way to local space during the temporal anomaly crisis of the late 2370s and early 2380s, including Warship Janeway, Warship Chakotay, and a holographic EMA. There, they began serving as officers aboard Starfleet ships. (ST video game: Timelines)
