Starship deploy status chart listing Wellington.

In 2364, while the Wellington visited Garon II, Ensign Ro Laren disobeyed orders, resulting in the death of eight away team members. (TNG episode: "Ensign Ro"; ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia; DS9 - Mission Gamma novels: Twilight, Cathedral)

In the year 2365, the Wellington was under the command of Thomas Pucer, assigned to captain Wellington on patrol of sector 130 near the Romulan Neutral Zone. This information was listed on a starship deploy status report on a viewscreen on Starbase 173. (TNG episode: "The Measure of a Man")

The Wellington docked at Deep Space 9 prior to 2372. Simora was serving aboard the starship at the time. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)

In 2383, Jake Sisko gave Rebecca Jae Sisko a model of the Wellington. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Raise the Dawn)

Previous vessels to bear this name included the Larson-class destroyer USS Wellington in the 23rd century and the Wellington-class prototype USS Wellington earlier in the 24th century. (FASA RPG modules: Federation Ship Recognition Manual, Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)

This vessel was succeeded in its name by a later ship, the Sovereign-class USS Wellington in the later 2370s decade. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)
