The USS Yeager (NCC-61947) was a Federation starship, a tier 4 Saber-class light cruiser/frigate in Starfleet service in the 24th century. (DS9 video game: Dominion Wars, TNG video game: Starfleet Command III; Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom, Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual, ST video game: Trexels mission: "Skirmish")

Specifications

Around stardate 73XX.6, the Yeager was rated a level 4 battle group light cruiser. It featured room for four officers and slots for five weapons or additional systems. Its deflector shields were rated 455, while the structural integrity field, or hull strength, topped at 610. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Skirmish")

Service history and disposition

The Yeager was commanded by Captain Melissa Binde. (WizKids module: Tactics)

In the year 2373 the Yeager fought in the battle against the Borg in the Sol system. (TNG movie: First Contact)

The Yeager would later see combat in the Dominion War. (DS9 video game: Dominion Wars)

As part of Federation Starfleet operations in the Trexelian Expanse around stardate 73XX.6, the USS Yeager participated in the war games conducted by Starfleet and allied vessels from the 23rd and 24th centuries. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Skirmish")

The Yeager also saw action in conflicts with the Klingon Empire, Cardassian Union and Breen Confederacy. (ST video game: Trexels missions: "Events", "Breen Barrier")

This was one of a number of ships to be so named, succeeding the earlier 2330s decade USS Yeager and alongside another light cruiser USS Yeager (NCC-65674) by the closing portion of the Dominion War, later in 2373.
