The USS Yeager (NCC-61947) was a Federation starship, a tier 4 Saber-class light cruiser/frigate in Starfleet service in the 24th century. Around stardate 73XX.6, the Yeager was rated a level 4 battle group light cruiser. It featured room for four officers and slots for five weapons or additional systems. Its deflector shields were rated 455, while the structural integrity field, or hull strength, topped at 610. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Skirmish")

Yeager was modified for service as a fleet frigate, in active service around the year 2378. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)

No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel in Starfleet Command III as its name was randomly selected for a frigate by the SFC3 game software, and is placed randomly each time the ship appears.

The Yeager was commanded by Captain Melissa Binde. (WizKids module: Tactics)

In the year 2373 the Yeager fought in the battle against the Borg in the Sol system. (TNG movie: First Contact)

The Yeager later saw combat in the Dominion War. (DS9 video game: Dominion Wars)

As part of Federation Starfleet operations in the Trexelian Expanse around stardate 73XX.6, the USS Yeager participated in the war games conducted by Starfleet and allied vessels from the 23rd and 24th centuries. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Skirmish")
