Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The USS York was a Federation starship in Starfleet service in the 23rd century. In 2246, following his promotion to commander, Christopher Pike was assigned to the York, presumably as first officer. (TOS novel: Burning Dreams)

The York is probably named for locations on Earth bearing that name, although there is at least one notable individual, President of the United States Anton York, who also shares the name.
