The USS Zander was a Daedalus-class Federation starship in Starfleet service in the 22nd and 23rd centuries.
History and specifications[]
22nd century[]
The Zander entered service after the year 2143. (Star Trek Magazine Issue 162: "Blast Off!")
The ship served during the Earth-Romulan War. (Seekers novel: All That's Left)
The ship was retired prior to 2196. (Star Trek Magazine Issue 162: "Blast Off!")
23rd century[]
In 2264, the Zander, along with the USS Lovell and the USS Masao, was retrieved from the Qualor II surplus depot and recommissioned for the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. These Daedalus-class ships were specifically requested by Captain Robert Andreassi, the Corps of Engineers commanding officer. They were then refitted by the Corps with many of the latest advances in command, propulsion and tactical systems. (Star Trek Magazine Issue 162: "Blast Off!")
By 2269, the ship was still in service to the Corps of Engineers. (Seekers novel: All That's Left)
