Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The UTS Event Horizon was a Federation shuttlecraft, an Epoch-class (model 86) timeship in Starfleet's Temporal Integrity Commission service in the 29th century. It was under the control of Captain Braxton. (Myriad Universes - The Last Generation comic: "The End of History")

Service history and disposition[]

When Braxton determined that the continued existence of the Federation led to premature universal entropy, he took the Event Horizon back in time to the Khitomer Conference in 2293 and hindered James T. Kirk from saving Federation President Ra-ghoratreii from assassination.

This led to an alternate timeline where the Klingon Empire conquered the Federation. The android Data learned of the temporal incursion, and worked with Jean-Luc Picard and the resistance on Earth to avoid the Klingons and undo the damage.

Excelsior Event Horizon

Final moments.

Picard allied with Captain Hikaru Sulu of the last Starfleet ship USS Excelsior. Sulu perished holding the Klingons at bay while the Excelsior, now under Picard's command, tracked the Event Horizon to downtime Khitomer. Braxton abducted Picard to convince him of the necessity of the Federation's destruction. Braxton was stopped when the Excelsior crashed into the Event Horizon while in Khitomer's atmosphere, destroying both ships. The Excelsior survivors remained on Khitomer to start a new timeline where the Federation would hold foreknowledge of the 24th century. (Myriad Universes - The Last Generation comic: "The End of History")
