ShuttleMarvel10-2

Survey shuttle in flight.

This survey shuttlecraft was sent with a landing party from the starship Enterprise, Spock and Leonard McCoy. The craft was outfitted by Spock for a survey mission at the planet Barak-7 in the year 2273.

While attempting to survey an uninhabited portion of the world, to gain sensor readings of Barak-7's unique magnetic field, vents of the shuttle's engines became clogged with magnetic dust. The shuttle was forced down in one of he inhabited regions of the planet, necessitating Spock to disembark to attempt to unclog the engines. While Spock was attempting repairs, Leonard McCoy spotted Barak-7 natives, who spotted the Starfleet landing party shortly thereafter. The men were separated from the shuttle attempting to evade capture by agents of the Barak-7 religious heirarchy. (TOS comic: "Domain of the Dragon God!")
