Upgrade was an Upgrade material option, an Alpha Quadrant Alliance designation for the visual appearance of a spacecraft's outer hull, i.e. a vessel's "skin". This version of Upgrade was available for Ferengi starships. Upgrade put the ship in a multifaceted, pale brown cover, with darker brown for shading. The warp plasma in the nacelles and impulse engines appeared orange-tinted yellow.
This material was available for the D'Kora- and Nagus-classes, but not the Na'Far- or Nandi-classes. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
