A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the finale of Year Five, the Coda miniseries and the continuations of Discovery, Picard and Lower Decks; and the premieres of Prodigy and Strange New Worlds, the advent of new eras in Star Trek Online gaming, as well as other post-55th Anniversary publications. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} or {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old. Unreleased sources[]

Hello, please note that you should not add information on as-yet unreleased sources, such as Star Trek Online, as fact, as such titles are always subject to change in the details before they are released, so could lead to factual inaccuracies on the site once the final product is released. --8of5 21:03, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Unreleased sources[]

Hello, please note that you should not add information on as-yet unreleased sources, such as the new Star Trek film. Please respond. -- Captain MKB 01:55, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry. It's just that stuff on the Kelvin and other such data has been added. Also, I included a reference to the video in which the revision is noted. --WTRiker 01:57, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

The Kelvin data is sourced from a publication that has been released already -- as such, the article doesn't have any info from the movie. I'm afraid that video releases like the one you cited are not considered "published sources" here, sorry... -- Captain MKB 03:42, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry. My bad. --WTRiker 04:15, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Categories[]

Could you please add categories when you create new articles? It would help if you asked someone here first before doing so, or, if you feel like you could copy the style of another smilar article's categories. It would greatly help because, otherwise, other users have to sort through and try to figure out what you were trying to accomplish. -- Captain MKB 22:03, March 3, 2010 (UTC)

New registry list[]

Hi, the list of Federation starship registries (below 1000) is formatted to be just a list of the numbers themselves. Since you wanted to try something now, i moved it to a better name that described what you were doing - Federation starships by registry (below 1000) -- captainmike Site-logo.png 11:53, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

I gotcha. Thanks! My hope is it expands to all the registries. Maybe turn it into a full companion of “FSRs”? Haha. Feel free to help. Haha. The formatting I was going for should be easy enough to figure out. Also, is there a curvy bracket method for SS and un-prefixed ships, like the NX-01 and the Vico? —WTRiker (talk) 17:55, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

i think that for SSes or any others you can use {{pre}} before where the prefix goes. and for NX-01 i usually use {{ship||Enterprise|NX-01}} (the double bar leaves the prefix blank). thanks -- captainmike Site-logo.png 19:51, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
