The VSS Bastion and its sister ships were deployed by the Voth to combat the "mammalian occupation force]]" in the Solanae Dyson Sphere. Dyson Joint Command forces were able to capture some of these ships. (STO website: The Sphere: The Voth Lock Box)
From the year 2410, Khitomer Alliance flag officer deployed the Bastion for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")
