The Forge of Surak

The Forge of Surak

In the Kelvin timeline, the VSS Forge of Surak was a Vulcan starship, the flagship of the Confederacy of Surak in service in the 23rd century. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 1")

History and specification[]

The Vulcan flagship Forge of Surak was active in the 2250s decade.

In the year 2258, the Forge of Surak survived the destruction of Vulcan by a Romulan terrorist. A fleet of Vulcan ships congregated at the barren Regula I planet in the Mutara sector to select a new homeworld for the endangered Vulcan species.

Spock the Elder traveled in a military shuttle to the conference but was exiled by the Vulcan leadership for his perceived responsibility for the destruction of Vulcan. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 1")

At Ceti Alpha V, the Vulcan fleet came under attack from Romulan Star Empire forces seeking to complete the extermination of the Vulcans. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 2")

Federation Starfleet intervened in the Battle of Ceti Alpha V when their fleet, led by the Federation flagship USS Enterprise arrived. The Romulans were forced to retreat.

The surviving Vulcans were led by Spock and the Forge of Surak to the Simon-316 system, located in the space between[1] the Federation and Romulan Star Empire. By 2259, a city had been established on the second planet, New Vulcan. (TOS - Legacy of Spock comic: "Part 4")
