“ Vacation’s Over” is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine comic that was written by Mark A. Altman. It was published in 1995. It was part one of a three part story, The Maquis: Soldier of Peace.
Bashir plans a trip to Risa but is abducted by the Maquis en route.
Summary[]
Commander Sisko has ordered Dr. Bashir to take a vacation, an order that Bashir is happy to obey after two years as Deep Space 9’s CMO and plans to visit Risa. On the Risa Express, Bashir spots a beautiful woman and buys her a drink in the ship’s bar, learning that her name is Tessa Blake. Bashir overhears her making a business deal with a doctor and interrupts the exchange. Tessa suddenly shows a romantic interest in Bashir and they retreat to her quarters, but any hopes that Bashir had are dashed when Tessa stuns Bashir with a phaser.
Bashir awakens on a Tattella freighter, where he learns that Tessa is a member of the Maquis. The Tattella are trading partners of the Cardassians, but are taking Tessa’s crew to the Goka prison camp, where Tessa believes that the crews of Voyager and Chakotay’s ship are being held. Tessa will need Bashir’s help as a doctor in the mission.
The Maquis are transported down to the Goka prison camp, where they start their search for the prisoners. They reach the cells, but find them empty. Suddenly Bashir and Blake are incapacitated by a nerve agent and when they awake are greated by Gul Dulcet, the overseer of the camp. The Cardassians were expecting them and Dulcet comments that they are now his prisoners.
