Vagra II

Vagra II was a Class M planet, the second planet of the Vagra system located in the Zed Lapis sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics

Vagra II was inhabited by the Vagrans until they abandoned their world, leaving behind Armus, an entity formed by the negative emotions from which they had ridden themselves.

In the year 2364, Shuttlecraft 13 crashed on Vagra II while transporting USS Enterprise-D crewmembers Deanna Troi and Ben Prieto. The Enterprise rescued them from Armus, but not before the entity killed Natasha Yar. Vagra II was subsequently placed under quarantine. (TNG episode: "Skin of Evil")

While the Enterprise was in orbit of Vagra II, Dr. Emil Costa discovered a sub-microbe native to the planet which was undetectable by conventional sensors or biofilters. (TNG novel: Contamination)

In 2381, lower decks officers aboard the USS Cerritos used an alien artifact to "crank call" Armus and annoy him. (LD episode: "The Spy Humongous")

In the year 22,862, an automated explorer with a rudimentary mechanical consciousness crashed on Vagra II. Armus constructed a vessel from its wreckage and Shuttlecraft 13 and escaped from Vagra II in it. (ST - Strange New Worlds VII short story: "Guardians")
