The Valley Forge-type was a Federation Starfleet starship of an unnamed class in service from the late-23rd century.
The Valley Forge-type appeared to be a variant of the Constitution-class. The primary hull, warp nacelles, and torpedo launcher, amongst other components, were configured in a design similar to its contemporary, the smaller Oberth-class. The type was armed with phaser banks and photon torpedo launchers.
Two Valley Forge-type starships, the USS Valley Forge itself and the unnamed NCC-1878-A, participated in a battle alongside six other Starfleet vessels, including the USS Enterprise-A, near a ringed planet. (ST calendar: Ships of the Line 2011)
