The Valo system was a star system just outside the borders of the Cardassian Union, in the Almatha sector in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. (ST reference: Star Charts)

History and specifics[]

Valo has at least nine planets, three of which were class M. (DS9 novel: The Second Artifact)

In ST video game: Infinite, the Valo system contains only 3 planets.

During the early years of the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, many Bajoran refugees fled to Valo system. (TNG episode: "Ensign Ro")

Bajoran settlements remained there into the 2370s, even after the Cardassians' withdrawal. (DS9 - The Brave and the Bold, Book One novella: The Second Artifact)
