Professor Vard was a Tandaran scientist from an alternate universe who worked for the Temporal Warfare Division of the Tandaran Empire.
In 2373, Vard used his track-jumper technology to jump from his universe into the primary universe. Vard was then interrogated by Department of Temporal Investigations special agents Gariff Lucsly, Marion Dulmur, and Meyo Ranjea with the assistance of their universe's Vard. Vard was pursued to the primary universe by TWD forces and was forced to use his technology to jump into another universe and escape. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
