Varden was the primary faith of the people of the planet Vrinda. The culture which arose from that faith is also known as the Varden culture. The Varden spiritual leader is also the governmental leader of Vrinda.

Varden culture was highly ritualized and based largely on the sharing and expression of emotion. Also highly valued is truth, as symbolized in the use of the Scepter of Truth.
