Vas'deletham was the name of an animal that was native to the planet Remus.
These small flying birds were known to fight to the death to defend their nests which were known to drive away full grown Romulans. They served as the basis for the Vas'deletham-class vessels within the Romulan Star Empire. (FASA RPG module: Romulan Ship Recognition Manual)
